Who will be our third home to home opponent in SEC plays

Since 1999, the SEC's best rivalry has been Florida vs Kentucky whether in the regular season or in the SEC-Tourney. The two teams, UF & UK, would have the last game against each other where SEC titles were often decided. In recent years the league tried to showcase other programs like...

How good will the SEC be this season?

According to Tarvik's projection of talented returning rosters for 2026, the top SEC teams would be the following: https://barttorvik.com/trankpre.php?&conlimit= 1. Arkansas (Calapari can still recruit) 2. Tennessee (No UT player had transported out) 3. Kentucky (Pope added much talent to his...

    SEC Programs

The SEC has many promising coaches , i.e Porter Moser (Oklahoma), Chris Beard (Ole Miss), Mark Pope (Kentucky), Dennis Gates (Missouri); as well as, veteran coaches with great success, i.e, Nate Oats (Alabama) & Rick Barnes (Tennessee). However, the next SEC school to most likely win their...

    Coaching Matters- Florida going down

OP, Florida punched back! and TOOK it away from Connecticut by throwing several DAGGERs into UConn's heart! Connecticut and their coach has a Heart of a Champion. That was not a typical, easy 8 vs 1 NCAA matchup. The Florida Gators just TOOK DOWN the 2x NCAA Champion, the Connecticut Huskies...

    Coaching Matters- Florida going down

To Golden's credit, he did adjust to UConn/Hurley continually trying to double team Florida's point guard, Clayton, by dumping the ball inside more to Condon/Chinyelu. That forced Hurley to call of that strategy and just play Florida straight up defensively which played into the Gators hands...

    Coaching Matters- Florida going down

In the 2024-25 season, Florida had defeated both Hurley Brothers: Florida-Arizona St: 83-66 Florida-UConn: 77-75 It did not look like that Florida would pull this game out until late in the 2nd half. So greatful that Florida won. That was not an easy 8 vs 1 game. Good luck UK fans to your team.

Who in the heck can beat Florida

Who can beat Florida? All of those SEC-East teams certainly can: Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee & Georgia. Somehow those teams know how to go after each other without backing down. Those damn dogs cost Florida (14-4) a chance to catch Auburn (15-3) for a possible tie for the SEC regular season...

Big O is Back!! I am Excited for Next Year

Congratulations on Tschiebe returning to Kentucky for another year. We at Florida will have Castleton returning for a 3rd year. It's always nice to have some continutity on your team - especially when great players return.

Golden, new Florida coach, doing a good job with retaining players and bringing in transfers

Keep an eye on Reeves (as well as Castleton for a 3rd year at UF) who could potentially be an all-conference type of player like former UF guard, Tre Mann.

Only 3 power teams w/o transfer

Currently, Alabama has 15 players on their roster. Unless the NCAA changed the rules, there will be some attrition.

Mike White stall balled Florida to defeat

^You may be a basketball prophet! Rumor: ?Mike White to Utah or Arizona! My Wishlist: 0. Billy Donovan or Rick Pitino (Unrealistic) 1. Porter Moser 2. ?? 3. Anthony Grant or Mike Miller I would love to see an offensive-minded coach that wants to win titles back at Florida again! If White...

Pitino becomes only third coach to lead 5 schools to the NCAA Tournament

That is an interesting Florida-Kentucky connection: Kruger (led UF to '94 Final4) Smith (led UK to '98 NCAA title) Pitino (led UK to '96 NCAA title) It just goes to show you that both programs know how to hire great coaches. Even though Calipari is doing well at Kentucky, would some of you...

    Big blow for Florida

Unlike Donovan who usually had only 11 or so players on the roster while at UF (similar to Calipari at UK), White seems to always want keep a full roster every season of 13 players which can result in less wiggle room when player attrition comes into play. This was the first time in a long...

    Big blow for Florida

First of all as a UF basketball fan, I would like to wish Andrew Nembhard luck in his future endeavors. Nembhard is a talented point guard. Wherever he lands, I am sure that Nembhard will help make that team become better. As another poster said, AN was supposed to be a 1-2 year player but was...

    Donavan or Smith

We'll never know. In the ?2016 Western Conference Finals, Rookie NBA Coach, Billy Donovan, coached Oklahoma to a 3-1 lead over Golden State. If not for the choke job by Kevin Durant who knows what The Thunder could have achieved. The next year in 2017, Durant surprisingly left Oklahoma and...
