The musical was a young Albert Finney which would be my favorite (circa 1971). My second would be the George C. Scott version. Disney’s animated version with Jim Carey is actually closest to Dicken’s vision - which as I recall was universally panned by critics. Go figure.

Loved those old Channel 8 Tulsa commercials showing Don Woods the weatherman going into the resturant in a good day and on a wet day and the reaction of the chief who greeted him warmly or coldly depending on the weather.
