    Swain @ Heritage

Expectations? Swain is a historical powerhouse. The tradition alone kept kids out in the past. I wonder if this may be a case of an outsider with new ideas, culture, coming in and changing things up causing some issues for kids not to play. JV is still going so that's the key to the future. It's...

    Time for A New System

This sound like a good idea similar to how things are done in PA. How would it be decided on the public school with/without districts? Where would we place Charter schools, I believe they should all be pushed into private playoffs. Something definitely needs to change. There also needs to be a...

    2A Corivan 19-0 Independence 7A

Corvian beating Indy like this is an eye opener on how the charter school system is impacting public schools as well. Indy must also be down.

    West Caldwell Football

I hope he does great with his opportunity. It's tough out there to be the HC of a turnaround situation. If he works well with BA and BBall he should be able to get some of those athletes out if they don't already play. Good luck Coach Saffos!

    Football Coaching Openings

That won't happen anytime soon. McLaurin will have his choice of athletes in the county. The kids who don't want to attend Hoke, apply for the Early College. Those kids are still allowed to play Hoke and have transportation to the school for practice. ?Not enough money here for a charter yet...

    Football Coaching Openings

Cash. He's had a great run at traditional powerhouse of the Sandhills, 71st. If he gets the other support needed he should be good to go at Hoke. Lots of hurdles to clear, but if anyone can win there he will. It's a one school county and they will pay the HFC unlike Cumberland County. Remember...

Isn't South Columbus open? He may go back home with that treatment at Avery.

    West>East: WHY?

Tarboro is a different breed. The program as a whole reminds me of the Robbinsville, Murphy, and Swain of old. Great coaching staff, solid base of athletes, a community focused on football. When was the last time anybody hear about any of those in many other sports? Programs like Holmes...

    West>East: WHY?

In the west you have better support, such as in school weight training is a common understood thing. You have better facillites in the west, and it seems like even in the real rural areas you still have many more coaches available. In the east you don't have the same level of support, facilities...
