I don't agree with this. Many a thread gets derailed because of people bloviating on politics and their opinions on both sides no matter the truth or facts.
The government has asked not to post pictures of drone stikes and such for defense purposes, but that's about it. Keep in mind though there are restrictions in general here that you otherwise wouldn't have in the US. But that's the price you pay for living here.
