    Every player and lineup appear out of sorts. Lots of combinations but no real plan. Pope needs to find an identity and then find a lineup that can play that way. Shooting a lot of 3s isn’t the way with this group. More Dioubate at the 5 maybe.

    UL made a point to attack Lowe every chance they could. Lowe needed help on defense and didn’t get any. On offense he looked like he was playing for a crappy Pitt team. Over driving and forcing 3s.

    Last year we had some great shooters that didn’t get great looks. Kentucky was outside the top 75 in 3 pointers attempted per game. They struggled to get open. A good offensive system with better athletes should get more guys open.

    I am excited for JJ. I can’t wait to see a talented freshman be able to play in an offense with space & movement. He’s also NOT gonna be called on to overpower a 23 year old dude for 35 minutes a game and that’s big deal for most freshman.

    How many guys with questionable on court judgement can you have? I tend to think you can have 1 and survive but more than that is a recipe for disaster.

    In the short term I agree but long-term how willing are boosters gonna be to cut a check for a player when the results aren’t there? At some point boosters will get tired of paying a kid $2+million dollars only to miss the tournament.

    Agreed. I’m not sure Moreno or most Freshman bigs are ready for the physicality of high major basketball. He’s going to take the longest to adjust and, not to turn this into a Cal discussion, we are not forced to rely on him to be great like we may have been 3 years ago.

    This current team shot the ball well but lacked athleticism and toughness. I'd be willing to give up some shooting for a tougher more athletic team.

    How good would IU have been the last 15-20 years if they had kept him?

    Jay Williams

    I think back to UNC game in the ACC tournament. Duke was up by a lot and UNC made that huge run. Scheyer looked lost and confused by the end.
