Ready to pay ESPN $30/month for their streaming service?

I think the target market is people, like myself, who pay $80/month for a cable or streaming subscription mainly just to watch live sports. I'll be glad to get rid of my Hulu Live subscription for this.

    OT: 2024 CFB TV ratings

This is why there are 'so many' bowl games when people complain. Live content is king and CFB delivers. The Mobile Bowl featuring two teams most people don't care about scored better ratings than all but 12 regular season college basketball games from last season. The Cactus Bowl did better than...

    OT: Dollywood

Haven't been to DW in many years but the area is fun and we go every winter (only live 4 hours away). There are many hotels but we prefer to rent a cabin/house within 10-15 mins of Pigeon Forge. Many are very elaborate with arcades, theater rooms and some even have indoor pools in the lower...

OT: Big 12 Considering Private Investment To 1 Billion

It would be simple enough to carve out athletic departments as separate, for profit endeavors subject to tax. Concept of Unrelated Business Income (UBI) in the non-profit world and seems to fit squarely with college athletics in its current form.

OT: Dana Tyler signs off after 34 years on NYC CBS 2 News

Corso hasn't been able to string together a full, coherent sentence in a decade.

OT: UConn to Big 12 ?

Can't imagine why Big12 would want UConn. They sacrificed their football program (what was left of it) to prop up basketball. And the Big12 doesn't need help in the basketball department. Just can't see UConn adding value there.

    OT: Auto Lease

Your first stop should be to leasehackr.com. You can read up on all the factors that impact the price of a lease such as sales price, money factor, residual value, MSDs, etc. Some items are negotiable and others are not. The first rule most people will tell you is to do all your negotiating over...

Best Div. 1 College Football by State- Sorry UConn and Syracuse

I was talking to a guy (big Michigan St. fan that lives in Detroit) yesterday about conference realignment, etc. He legitimately thought UConn had dropped its football program. I didn't think it was worthwhile to correct him.

Here’s a look at an aggregate ranking of all 14 BigTen stadiums

Indiana's stadium is old, outdated and poorly run. Not sure why it's so high on the list. Was there for a hot, early season game and they ran out of beer by halftime and water by the end of the 3rd quarter. Concession lines were outrageous. They started using tap water that tasted like the old...

    Divisional Playoff weekend .....

Was a big play by Apple. But most plays he's the one getting beaten. Probably the biggest liability on the Bengals D.

Only one way to keep college football competitive

The list is long and distinguished and includes teams like Oklahoma, Notre Dame and even Ohio State that have been blown out in the CFP.

Only one way to keep college football competitive

Agree with all this. Also I'm a Cincinnati fan and looking forward to our opener next year! Will start travel planning for that in the next couple of months.

OT: U of Miami out of Sun Bowl, WASHINGTON STATE NOW PLAYING CENTRAL MICHIGAN

True - just wondered if flu was actually hitting you hard given vax status but its likely academic at this point.

Did you also get tested for the flu? Apparently that's going around - having both covid and the flu at the same time.

Do we really need to expand the playoffs?

The Big 12, ACC and PAC will be similar most years. Big 10 and SEC will be clearly the top two conferences but the other 3 will likely have one team that emerges and contends each year. I don't see a whole lot of differences there.
