The results have not been good this year, we can all agree on that. We must find a few reliable pitchers to work in relief of Eberle, Danilowicz and Hartman - and the time to solidify those spots is RIGHT NOW.

    Final Four

Very true assessment, which is why we lost in the round of 32 and all these teams advanced to the final 4. But I have no problem with Kelsey’s offensive philosophy. He’s just got to get a few big men that can make teams pay when those teams get in the faces of our shooters. And those shooters...

    Cards (18-11, 4-5) at Duke (19-12, 5-7)

Cards win 9-4. Good pitching performances all around, but Aaron England and Brandon Shannon with 3 scoreless innings shut the door on the Devils today. Zion Rose went 2-4 and saw his batting average go down(!) to .553. He’s ridiculously good when he’s healthy.

Yes … bullpen just cannot hold a lead. What a waste of a great hitting lineup. Duke takes game two 10-8. Will go for the sweep tomorrow at noon.

    Cards (18-11, 4-5) at Duke (19-12, 5-7)

UGH! Duke scores 4 runs with 2 outs to take the lead again 6-4. Danilowicz left with 2 outs and the bases loaded … deserved a better outcome tonight!

    Cards (18-11, 4-5) at Duke (19-12, 5-7)

Bayram Hot with a 2 run homer and Griffin Crain with an RBI infield single, gives the Cards the lead 4-2 in the 6th!

    Cards (18-11, 4-5) at Duke (19-12, 5-7)

Duke leads 2-1 through 4 innings. Two really good pitchers going in this one in Duke’s Weaver and UofL’s Danilowicz. Duke actually had the bases loaded with no out, but Danilowicz caught a line drive coming right at his head and then doubled up the runner at third, then got out of the inning...

Game 2: 6pm ET on ACC Network. Probably Wyatt D going for us today.

    Cards (18-11, 4-5) at Duke (19-12, 5-7)

Duke wins 6-3. Cards just could not get the offense going tonight, and the 3 errors definitely didn’t help. Wasted a good pitching performance by Eberle. Kind of rude that the wind blows out only during home half innings! We’d win a lot more of our home games if we could get that to work at...

    Cards (18-11, 4-5) at Duke (19-12, 5-7)

Cards trail 4-1 in the bottom of the 6th. Eberle now replaced by Schweitzer. 15 strikeouts for Eberle, just one off of Reid Detmers’ record.

    Cards (18-11, 4-5) at Duke (19-12, 5-7)

Eberle has some awesome stuff tonight - 11 of the 12 outs he’s recorded have been strikeouts. Also no walks. But Duke has gotten 5 hits and two hit batsmen, which they’ve turned into 3 runs. Cards’ offense has been quiet so far - just 2 hits, and the only time they threatened was the first - had...

    Cards (18-11, 4-5) at Duke (19-12, 5-7)

Our game is on the ACC Network tonight. Ethan Eberle gets the start - gives up a two out double, but game is still scoreless through 1 inning.
