    I’m happy. It would have been RU/Md. it wasn’t going to be OSU/Um/MSU as they would want to force 2 top tier annual on anyone. I’m glad we aren’t stuck with RU/MD. no one else makes sense.

    Also you need the lesser schools. Imagine playing nothing but elites for 8 games. Either the elites would fall (like Neb) or teams would have 3-4 losses (likeNFL) which would hurt. You need to ‘easier’ games.

    You could also argue the counter playing a 9 win team surrounded by losing teams is easier. Less grind. margin of victory does come into play. When you play lesser teams the easier you beat them shows you are better. If one beat team a by 20 and somebody else beat team A by 30 I’d agree. But...

    Ole miss isn’t much better than who we beat. Lsu with Bama is a better win. same with Tennessee. those teams rose quickly because they beat highly ranked teams (Kentucky/Arkansas/Florida) who aren’t good and were ranked cause of SEC. I’ll give Bama a pass because of history and talent. But...

    technically you are right. But the committee has 2 separate goals. One select top 4. Then select matchups for other bowls. They have moved teams before for this. They rank teams to justify other rankings. I could see Purdue and Minny sneaking into the top 25 with win especially if Iowa loses...

    There are ties. p5 champs. g5 champ. thats 6 with peach/fiesta hosting playoffs it causes more tie ins but they won’t hurt us (especially with Clemson losing) the orange will be Acc vs sec/big (who’s higher) Sugar will be big 12/sec. If TCU makes playoff this will be one spot that jumps...
