How good is Christian Gurdak going to be this season?

It’s 2 completely different things. Guards need to take 3s. Big men do not. Many big men take no 3s or under 20 on an entire season. 3 in a game is a huge number for a big man.

Zero P4 QBs in the current room.

If you want to be “complete”, then you have to also point out that Blake made a good play to not only reel in the first of the 3 passes but get the yards after catch for the first down.

It’s highly doubtful he offers anything. Hasn’t checked in once yet. In exhibition play…. It’s the 15th spot so it’s not a big deal but it seems silly to go to Europe for it. Euros seem to be far less likely to stick around if it doesn’t work out in year one.

2026-27 Rutgers Men's Basketball Media Guide

Who cares right now? Keep your head down Brandin and get the boys ready. Come out strong early and you’ll see how fast our fans will start filling those preseason seats in support of Pike and the team. Rutgers fans band together like that. We have an opportunity we certainly didn’t ask for...

Everyone else made sense. Martin is basically selecting a walk on from abroad. There’s no role for him on the team. It’s highly doubtful he sticks around to develop. We haven’t retained a single one of these Euro guys we’ve brought in after year one so far. Martin a significantly lower...

Wooten is a different type of “15”. He’s a frosh recruit with talent who might actually see spurts of time by year end. Martin is a soft Euro who is unlikely to see any meaningful time on a D1 team anywhere.

Miteo was a great late pick up considering his size. I have no issue with that one.

I don’t think we disagree, I think we have different pictures of what the realistic options were financially. An impact high major PF from the portal was going to cost us more than the other 3 transfers probably did combined. We needed parts - desperately needed to add a better backcourt...

The point is it never really sounded like he even projects to be better than a walk on so why not just take a loc kid like that for the spot? I wasn’t implying we could get some good local player. More that recruiting a Euro kid who is a stretch flyer doesn’t make a lot of sense.

I don’t disagree with the general point, but Martin seemed like a throw away pick up. Highly unlikely to be what you described. I thought we should’ve taken a local kid for that spot. Otherwise no major questions from me. The point I’m making was - I think Sydnor was good enough to fill the...

Maybe - but you could have the issue we might end up having with Sydnor with anyone - and then what? Sydnor was reportedly looking great in June. Then he suffered a high ankle sprain. It’s a really tough injury to recover from and even once you can return to sport it doesn’t mean you’ll be...

    Scenes from Practice

Careful - we have fans who are happy with Miteo and Gurdak launching those 4 threes against Nova. Helps the appearance of that shot chart after all.

Yeah exactly. I don’t think he knew for sure he was losing his job until AK was on campus and he beat him out. Then he decided to move on. That’s my point. AK did better at RU than he did his last year in Minn. it was a situation like with Lonergan where he didn’t come in with the best...

But he left before the season. Did we pay him to stay through spring the year AK arrived? That seems a stretch to me. He left before the season. He had no business starting the year before either but that’s a different conversation.
