    It's the result of Fitzball. Playing QB or WR in a run-centric offense (especially in today's flashy world of CFB), is not that attractive. Fitz wants to grind out an 80 yard drive that eats up the clock, not an offense that marches down the field and scores quickly. QBs and WRs want to show off...

    It’s a terrible idea. We have historically had success against Purdue and Nebraska so I’m not sure why you would craft a defense specifically designed to neuter their offenses. Iowa/Wisco are our chief in division rivals so it would seem a defense designed with them in mind would make more sense...

    Hindsight’s 20/20. Very few teams can line up against OSU and play their “normal” game and beat them over 4 quarters. For the non Alabama/ Clemsons of the world, you need to take some chances. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t.

    There was no asterisk in OSU's 2018 victory when we were on our 3rd/4th string defensive backs in the 2H. Injuries/covid happens. That's life.
