    Is anybody out there?

I've been here or its precursors since the last century. But it's not worth hanging out much if nobody else is here. Which is sad. A couple of the sites have dispensed with their boards for non subscribers. I come by maybe once a week, and generally see less than five or six posts since the...

    Mateer

Mateer was starting to get it before his injury. But he was used to the opposition at Washington State and at OU, he was facing much better defenses....... with a bad thumb. And a shaky offensive line, and a running back room that was depleted by injury. I fear that OUr receiver room and OUr...

    Review ? and Game note

FG's can be reviewed, but only if they're lower than the top of the goal posts. Anything beyond the top is as much conjecture as the guy looking at it in person. It appeared that the fg was over the top of the upright, and was therefore the correct call. It sucked.

Have all the OU sites gotten rid of their places to buy game tickets?

Rex was a great high school athlete. As far as I know, and I've been here for 61 years, he was the first freshman to play varsity football for the Wildcats. Maybe there was one a decade or more before I got here in '64. He was an amazing hs basketball player, but best at football. He was the key...

    Mateer

We've played four very good defenses the last four games. They can make any quarterback "look funny." They can also make it tough on a shorter quarterback. He's a fierce runner, and even after he's made big plays all year when running the ball, he's still an underrated quarterback. His long...

Have all the OU sites gotten rid of their places to buy game tickets?

If I'd seen him post before, I'd have jumped at it. But I resigned myself to watching in Plano on tv. It's okay. So long as we win.

Have all the OU sites gotten rid of their places to buy game tickets?

I understand that. I wasn't expecting face. I liked when they had the ticket sites, that had details of where and when, and you could reasonably expect a reliable ticket seller. I only got stung once, in the CCG at Jerry World against Texas. Had to buy a second ticket. But I didn't use an OU...

Have all the OU sites gotten rid of their places to buy game tickets?

I checked three sites and none had one. That's the way I used to buy a single. Don't want to travel to Norman next Friday, without a ticket in hand. The charges in the ticket sites are ridiculous, IMO.

Boy….LSU had a tough time with Western Kentucky

I've learned to pull for the Longhorns on several occasions. But I know that the worst OU fans and team have been treated in the last 60 years, was the Sugar Bowl after the 2003 season. LSU fans were despicable. I don't think I've pulled for LSU in any sports event since. Longhorns fans are our...

    Props to X Robinson

BTW, YC, I totally agree with your summation. He became the ultimate teammate Saturday, Coaches often say that there is a difference between playing hurt, and playing injured. In November, everybody is hurt at least a little. You have to suck it up. We don't expect you to play injured...

    Props to X Robinson

Seriously? I think 95% of Sooner Nation knows the answer to that question. He came to Norman for one reason. He went to the highest bidder, and not to play football. No effort in any rep the first half of the season, and earned to reps after that. He maybe have made a decent FCS running back...

Boy….LSU had a tough time with Western Kentucky

Nussmeir will play and have the advantage of not getting beat up for four weeks. We'll get LSU's best shot next Saturday. And we have to be really good to win. I hate LSU so much, that I pull for Texas when Horns play them. And they're talented. Fortunally for us, they've had a rocky season...

    Arbuckle article

I disagree with you. And I guess the article. We just beat Alabama, a year after we whomped them in Norman. They were surely geared toward that game because of them. We played with our best defender hurt and out, and our second best defender barely able to play, at a big disadvantage. We beat...

    Thoughts on Bama game

After watching two years of SEC games closely, and caring, it seems to me that UGA and Bama are the protected species in the conference. You can beat them. We proved that last year. But you have to overcome the guys in the striped shirts to do it, expecially in the second half of games. Beating...

    Gentry Williams

Probably because our two healthy corners were more likely to perform better than a still dinged up, oft injured fourth year corner.
