    Player of the Year predictions

And how about special teams too? The guy does it in all 3 phases.

    Bears

Witty mentioned it right after the JSN TD, no need to blitz in that situation. I believe they blitzed on that play against NE at the end of the half as well. DA needs to be smarter in those situations going forward. And with Simmons on the team, there is even less reason to blitz.

    Bears

He’s really kicked up the intensity since his return from the hamstring injury. The opening drive set the tone, but that drive to go up by 10 after Seattle cut it to 20-17 was ultra impressive. He continues to improve. Fun to watch.

Maybe his old teammate did light a fire in him.

    Lyons Township

Good question. Love their defense and running game. Not sure if they are diverse enough offensively to beat MC or LA. Their defense may match up with the MC offense better than anyone else, which gives them a chance IMO.

GOTW - Morris vs. Montini official thread

It’s a tough call on whether or not Morris is prepared for a game like this. You know Montini is battle tested. Morris just hasn’t played the same level of competition. That’s not to say they can’t win, though. I’m inclined to agree that Morris will struggle to stop Montini. To me, this...

Rd 2 has some awesome match ups

No doubt. Looking forward to seeing QB Persich play. Heard a lot of good things about him. Haven’t seen him live yet.

    Provi @ Kankakee

Is this the “I told you so” thread? Let me give it a try. Kankakee had their chances, but turned out not to be good enough to take advantage. They gave up an 85 yard TD on 3rd and 28 to allow Provi to take the lead in the 3rd quarter. Then got inside the 5 and did not score on the next...

    JCA score?

Their defense and QB are outstanding.

    Franny 48 Kaneland 12 - Final

Yeah. That’s a definite embarrassment for the school to say the least.

    JCA score?

I believe JCA got a first down on a run on the first offensive play, then never got another 1st down the rest of the first half. Special teams were awful as was the pass defense.

    JCA @ WWS Friday 7PM

The freshman FB has deep roots at JCA. Dad coaches the Dline. Mom is the softball coach. Grandfather was the FB on the 1978 championship team.

    Provi @ Kankakee

I plan to catch some of this game. Who are some of the players to watch on Kankakee?

    Gould resigns at Viator

One more log on the fire: JCA would consistently beat Joliet West
