I mean, it seems like that might be a bit of a problem? Aaron Judge is 79 inches tall. 53.5% of that is 42”. That might barely be belt high for him (if that). A ball at the bottom of the rib cage should be a strike every time. For him, it’s gonna be a ball every time. And yes, I get that...
I get it in principle. Head coaches jobs are easier / less stressful in the new climate, due to not having to go all over the damn place to recruit. Duh. I simply took exception to his choice of words.
The current rulebook states what the zone is at all times. If what you suggest above is a problem, it would have also been an issue with human umpires, too. The ABS has to be capable of adhering to the rulebook. If it isn’t, the rulebook has to be updated to reflect the new standard...
Well, that’s a mysterious statement. I don’t recall having many (if any) disagreements with you, so I’m honestly not sure what your baseline is there. But oh well, moving on.
Why not? There’s not much difference at all in how the transaction occurs, other than the fact that there aren’t typically multiple people all trying to outbid each other for the same hamburger.
Perhaps a better comparison is buying a piece of furniture on eBay. Either way, I’m not having to...
“Recruiting has been much more streamlined and is much more efficient than it’s ever been”
What an idiotic statement. Recruiting in the revenue sports isn’t “more streamlined”, it’s completely obsolete. It no longer 17ing exists. It’s just shopping now. When I go to Five Guys, I don’t...
I’m kind of confused as to why height is even important for the ABS system. Batting stances and biometrics are variable for players that have the same height. And to a lesser extent they are even variable for the same hitter in the same at-bat, from pitch to pitch.
Strike zone vertical range...
Can’t believe it got this far without a mention of Cam Matthews.
If we had 5 of him, we’d beat several NBA teams. Not because of superior talent, but eventually they’d just quit due to running out of gas.
Getting both Netflix and HBO Max w/ads for a total of $10 / month through Verizon is pretty legit. I watch way more of those than anything else, although I don’t watch a ton of TV. I’m also grandfathered into a Netflix premium upgrade that Verizon no longer offers, for another $17 per month...
