    Lived in the Philly Burbs most my life. Though a Pro Sports town there are a lot of Penn State alums and fans in the area. #1 city for PSU alums.

    Its a high school, college, and Pro sports state. Philly and Pittsburgh have lots of colleges and Univesities and are some the biggest college towns on America. Central PA also has many schools. True PSU isnt the only thing going in the state…which is to be expected in the 5th largest state...

    I think you forgot that Franklin took over a very heavily sanctioned program. Team had 5 scholarship OL when he got there. He has helped PSU rebound nicely in a very strong division.

    It’s closer to 53 not 73. Ohio State isn’t far behind. Then there is a drop off where 3 thru 10 is pretty close. Michigan, PSU, and Iowa all have about the same number.
