Burroughs asked about coaching at Iowa

Schools like PSU and OSU loved Bo and Melvin. It was the accompanying circus that kept it from happening.

Burroughs asked about coaching at Iowa

I like you Corby but this post is disingenuous. Without a high end RTC commitment, DT wasn’t going to Iowa. JB is going to ask for the same. When the DT/Iowa rumor occurred, DT was the #1 wrestler on the planet and a near lock for the Olympics. Wasn’t really looking and neither was Iowa...

You seriously think Brands will have a vote in 2029?

You have a narrow view of what actually Chad paid for. NIL isn't one of them. He paid for a new coaching staff, the RTC, and scholastic programs in OK. DT shared his vision to a T, so the marriage was a given.

Point being that Chad had all the cards and John had no cards. Chad wanted DT from a year earlier. Money was tied to DT's hire. Same would/will happen at Iowa. Money talks, and some rich donor will get his guy.

If John Smith didn't have a vote, then neither will Brands.

I don't believe DT will ever leave OSU at this point. He has invested in building a brand and has been successful at it. It would take stupid money to even get his interest. If I'm Richison, I already have a poison pill for DT to take for any other school than PSU.

I will never understand Iowa's compliance dept. If other schools do something for 15 straight years without the NCAA even blinking, isn't it time to give up that ghost? Or is something else in play, and it's called "compliance" to cover over some deficiency. I bet when the Brands leave...

    Honest Question about Jordan Williams

Always the response of the less gifted among us. Be better is all I have for you. Sometimes the subject is not related to school colors.

She's not an alcoholic. Made a bad mistake, but thanks for your sincere concern. Maybe sit this one out.

    Honest Question about Jordan Williams

If I attached a pic, you'd be an accessory to murder. Mine. She's 52 but looks every bit of 38. Southern belle. Just a little crazy though, and not always in a good way.

    Honest Question about Jordan Williams

I can agree to this. Also agree that MADD and local jurisdictions are addicted to the money being generated.
