Rumor has it Penn State to play Texas in 2028 and 2029 (EDITED)

That would be a terrific matchup and I'd be thrilled to be able to drive to a PSU game in a few hours.

OT: Agnes Flood June 23, 1972

I was born in 1974 but my dad worked for Lycoming County during Agnes and spent many weeks/months afterwards putting town infrastructures back in order. He rode around the county in a helicopter in the immediate aftermath surveying the damage and he has some stories about the things he saw...

OT: Agnes Flood June 23, 1972

I wasn't born yet but my family moved to an old house by the "Y" and 405 in '86 and the neighbors showed us where the water marks were from Agnes.

Watched part 1 of Theodore Roosevelt tonite on History Channel.

For those interested, Edmund Morris' trilogy on the life of TR are incredible reads. Each one was terrific and well-researched. The adventures in the west before his presidency and the journey down the Amazon were particularly interesting. It was said that when TR died in his sleep in 1919...

    B-52's announce farewell tour

Saw them in 1994 at the 40Watt in Athens. I think it was Super Bowl weekend when the Bills and Cowboys played in Atlanta. Really great show.

That's awesome! Heidelberg is at the top of my favorite cities I've visited in Germany. The castle ruins, German military cemetery, and historic buildings were incredible. Had to have been a great place to spend a few years. My wife remembers hitting the hauptstrasse when Germany won the World...

My wife lived in Mark Twain Village but went to the American High School in Patrick Henry Village. We found the high school building when we visited as its now a German day care facility. There's a large NATO facility in that area near the hospital. On a football note, my wife went to school...

Worse. She would say worse. The subtraction of several thousand Americans probably has something to do with that. The marktplatz she remembers (1980's and 90's) was pretty vibrant and exciting. I thought is was touristy and dirty compared to what I had expected. When we visited, locals told us...

My wife grew up in Heidelberg and we visited for several days in 2019. Not quite the place she remembered as it has evidently changed greatly after the US military left.

Traveled through southern Germany in 2019 during the record heat wave and my only lament was how heavy most of the food was. Nothing like sitting inside at a restaurant without AC eating rouladen with spatzle and gravy. I'm a big fan of afternoon kaffee and kuchen!

    Would Joe coach today?

    No. He’s dead.

Given that Sean Clifford is returning for a 6th year - how do you see QB being handled?

No way. Even if given a better o-line, he’d still complete about 50% of his throws and miss open receivers down field. He has no touch on his deep throws. He’s gritty, tough, and a leader. Go back and read the evaluations on him coming out of St. X. They are 100% accurate. Tough kid, great...

Boy! I wish Bill O'Brien was OUR offensive coordinator! Oh wait,.....................................

D-Hop wanted a new deal but he showed up and put up numbers. OBrien traded him for a backup RB and his absurd contract, a 2nd round pick, and a swap of 4th round picks. Strong rumors indicated that at least three teams offered a 1st for him but OBrien wanted him in the NFC.
