Biggest surprises of the night for 8/23

Hayesville didn't. I hauled Asheville Blues there. It was a beat down.

    Pisgah

Should make the rivalry game more personal now. Two alumni going head to head.

Word is N. Saban was seen in Haywood County recently.

    Brooks steps down at Franklin

RB was one of Pisgah's best offensive coordinators. IMO that would be a good fit.

West Henderson at Hickory Round 4

CalPreps has this game on a neutral field at 38 West Henderson, 35 Hickory. I look for this game to be like the Crest vs. West Charlotte game was last night with an overtime ending and one point decision. So basically you could flip a coin and one team call it in the air to be the winner. But...

    AC Reynolds @ Hickory

Reynolds came out strong tonight and I thought it was going to be a shootout at first. The Rockets competed very well until about 5 minutes before the half. And the tide changed quickly and Hickory never let up. Hickory has a lot team speed and the QB has major next level talent. I was pulling...

    #10 Kings Mtn @ #7 AC Reynolds

Congrats on the win! If my schedule doesn't change between now and Friday, Young has me as one of your drivers next week. I look forward to it. I gotta find me a green tie!

    Pisgah at Oak Grove

Some still carry scars from that game.

    #10 Kings Mtn @ #7 AC Reynolds

If yall travel any, give Young a call and we will haul you. I hauled the cheerleaders to East Forsyth back in the fall.

    #26 North Gaston @ #7 AC Reynolds

East Rutherford had a kid like that a few years ago when we played them. Calvin Jones, a top notch athlete. He and my son played against each other that game, now they play for the same team at WCU.

    Pisgah Wins

    You sound scared.

Pisgah @ tuscola (3rd year @ tuscola in a row)

When everyone in the state except for the ones on the west end of Haywood County believed Pisgah would win, that's called an upset.

Gotta admit, that one shocked me and stung a little. Probably the biggest upset in WNC last night. Congrats to the winners.
