    This 100% Going from the JV starter to a superstar kid that is in the running to play this fall at USC is just an unfair comparison. Expectations need to be realistic for the kid. LWE will be fine and the QB will be solid no matter who is under center.

    IHSA site lists ESL enrollment at 1146 so likely 5A numbers. Good on them and the Southwestern Conference for letting them petition up. Like others have said, they dont duck anyone.

    Im slowly coming around to split playoffs. 6 public, 2 non-boundary I think you'd have to do 16 team brackets for the non-boundary schools just due to the lack of schools.

    Feel for the seniors in the Knights program. Hopefully they can come back stronger. Look at Riverdale a few years as an example of how going this route can help stabilize and rejuvenate a program.

    Many travel teams and programs arent what they used to be either. If you have $$$ you can be a "travel player" no matter your skill level. Let kids be kids, play recreationally and have fun, live outside the restraint of 5-8 games a weekend while traveling to god knows where.
