I would like to add one more guard personally. I was thinking some lower-level Euro guard, similar to Drezgic coming off his year at UGA (2.9 PPG), like LSU's Ron Zimmer (2.2 PPG) ~ Israeli. However, Drezgic would probably be able to command a bigger role somewhere other than UK.
Miami had...
Indiana is a weird one too. DeVries brought in an entire team of 4th and 5th years last year, and lost all of the remaining team, but one role player to the portal.
He brought in undersized PG Burton who is finally getting out of Notre Dame after averaging 19 PPG over 3 years of losing...
I am surprised by the lack of UNC discussion. They have a facinating team in Mike Malone's first year. Brown is an elite scoring PG, Able came back from the draft, and Avdalas averages 4.6 APG at 6'9.
They will have issues with the center position - Samodurov only got 3.6 PPG in the Greek Lg...
Man Mike Davis may have had the craziest coaching career peak to fall ever - Took IU to the championship game in his second season - Then UAB —> Texas Southern —> Detroit Mercy —> Miss Valley St.
What a crash!
ah I missed that was the game he’s talking about. I don’t remember a backup PG being a thing but maybe I just focused on Wilkins and House shooting for the upset.
I posted in the other thread that I like the idea of these two:
Noam Dovrat from Miami (Isreal), a good shooting backup combo-guard just to have another option there with Morton.
Another Israeli player is Ron Zipper, a similar combo guard that was at LSU last year.
I don’t think you could get...
It would be rather crazy to have Diallo, Wilkins, Hampton, Momcilovic, and Moreno as the starting 5 with Morton, Kam, N'Diaye, McBride, and Kepnang off the bench. Then you'd have Noah, B Hawthone, and Mason Williams as well.
I am not really sure about escalators either so who knows anymore. But basically, yeah it would have been roughly the same results and buyout if Calipari had stayed.
To be fair to Barnhart, I think he had planned to stay with Calipari, probably because of the weak coaching market, but Cal ended...
Our first game will likely be against Kansas. I think we would be ranked around the same place as them. Maybe they are lower. I like our roster better than theirs, even though they have Kinney and Stokes.

I think our ceiling was much higher before today. Probably a 6 seed, definitely not a bubble team. Now, we are safely in the 2-3 range with Momcilovic.
