    Wasn’t quite that simple. First of all, we didn’t let him go. He choose to leave. He may have always planned to just use us for early playing time. We want to think that if the team was better around him, he would have stayed. His uncle was one of the reasons the team wasn’t better around him.

    We don’t have that. To build a program, you have to build a coaching staff. Rhule has to fire, demote or alienate half his staff every other year on average.

    Could be. He left in March 2024. That was after Rhule’s first season with Sims/HH/Purdy that started 5-3 before losing 4 straight.     If the CFP goes beyond 16 teams, then that automatically opens up the broadcast for new media bids. Otherwise, it remains a Disney exclusive broadcast. The SEC has been told what their stance is.

    Nebraska QB commit Trae Taylor talks interest from Ohio State

    I don’t have it out for Rhule. I would prefer we take a jump this year and next, and Rhule is comfortable without a hot seat. I just don’t think it will happen based upon the foundation I’ve seen him lay down after 3 years on the job.
