    I would still say Clarke has one of the best staffs in the state, across all divisions! I may have miscoveyed my opinion. I still thought we should've ran one more time on 3rd down before passing, or maybe getting enough to run again. And that a punt would've made more sense to me. It is easy...

    No argument here in reference to the abilities of the Goochland coaching staff. And I hope Goochland does run the table and win a ring (always better to lose to the best) But after seeing Clarke v Appo last year...Appo was in a different league. That Clarke team was better than than this years...

    I think you misread my post. I was saying the union/DR game, score and stats are pretty insignificant at this point. EDIT** I stand corrected. I missed typed in my original post. I meant to type Dan river/union not graham....

    I don't think the Dan River/Graham game is significant at all. Appo is the defending state champs, as well as the most tested team in 2a (rustburg, heritage and Amherst! Crazy out of conference schedule) and they handled it with ease. Id be surprised if graham beats richlands...blew a massive...

    I'm going to throw my two cents in here, Appo - blow out, up at least 4 scores at half. Saw both these teams in the semis and finals last year, union is a good team...but Appo is in a different league (and should be like 4a on talent alone lol) Final 42-7 SD - i don't think this one gets too...

    Yea, and I still think it could be improved! I would love to see a middle school team at JWMS. Maybe pioneer can chime in on this, but don't the Frederick county MS's have teams?

    Should be an awesome game! It's funny to think, back in 07 when Clarke started this run, their first playoff game in over 16 years was at a DJ coles led goochland team. That game was an instant classic as well. I'm can imagine this will be the same type of affair.

    Thanks Pioneer! And I agree...that's why I would urge the Pioneers to continue past the berryville exit on 7 next year, scale the mountains, get deep into loudoun county and play those power houses. Just a thought...we used to do it for basketball, it yielded pretty great results.

    I'd have to agree, despite not seeing goochland play yet, they are a team to beat every year come playoff time. Speaks volumes of the coaching staff over there. I would have to also say the same thing about Clarke, always well coached and well prepared...just not always fast enough...
