-to the dealer there is no difference between a purchase and a lease. They are either selling the car to you or to the leasing/finance company. Dealers do not lease cars. The differences in price may come from differences in finance rate or commission from the leasing company...
I have been through mediation. It only works if both sides truly want to settle, or if one side is really desperate. I do not see either of those circumstances applying here.
