    I saw a ranking where Alabama was 47th in average IQ among the 50 states, while Nebraska was 10th. Yet, even they can comprehend that Public and Private are not on a level playing field.

    I am a fan of the shot clock. I think it makes the game better. Now, need to get rid of the closely guarded rule. I like the closely guarded rule, but its is clear that different officials have different interpretations of 6 feet and going towards the hoop or not. It would keep things consistent...

    I don't like how the rule makes a comeback more difficult without the pressure of the front end of a 1 and 1. But for the lower classes the whole "comeback game" should benefit from the shot clock.

    Rule put in place for less contact. In a 1 and 1 situation, you are going to get 1 or 2 live contact(hard box outs, elbows flying, etc.) with a 2 shot situation you are guaranteed to only have 1. I like it from the perspective, if a group of refs decide to "clean it up" during their halftime...

    Basketball Is it time for Nebraska HS basketball to have a shot clock?

    All I know is, when I am watching a game and team tries stalling with a 2 point lead and over 2 minutes to go, I feel sorry for the kids. I don't have any data to back it up, but it doesn't seem to work out very often. I find myself rooting against the stalling team.

    As the starter of this thread, its amazing where it went. I am not from Creighton but I believe Creighton will do very well in the playoffs and that N-O game will have no effect on them. The one thing that got me thinking about this topic in the first place, was looking at the NSAA wildcard...

    2016-17 Classifications Released

    Another option(although I still think the ineligibles should be removed) is to split D1 & D2 among Playoff eligible teams, so that each division has the same percentage of eligible teams making the playoffs. The ineligibles would still be able to play 8 man, but there would need to be more...

    Because of all the ineligibles, there are 9 teams in D1 who WON"T make playoffs. Something is not right here.
