    How difficult would it be for the contract to be modified if it becomes apparent that it’s hindering recruitment. I understand that coach’s personality also factors into the equation.

    Another very bad idea. Not making the tournament after an entire season simply means your team didn't win enough games or didn’t win the critical games or lost games they should have won.
