    My initial thoughts were exactly this. More $ for MSU if we had the program, but genuinely, what could that mean for north MS? Decades ago someone decided to create various programs in various colleges. What would have to happen to start a movement to do that again for a new med school?

    Yeah, that's right. I'm not even sure the size of that program or if it's even on the same tier as the MD program at UMMC and would be considered in the same breath. Regardless there's one MD program in the state. Any benefit to having another one?

    Had a random conversation with my wife while driving through campus today. There are only two med schools in the state. What would have to happen for an additional one to be created? Obviously besides a 17load of money, what else would it take? Any potential benefit to having an additional one?
