    2026 US Open

As long as it’s not a repeat of the time one of them tried to make weight for the other, then it’s a nothing burger.

    NCAA PORTAL

Must be hard for Rin to commit to a program/coach and then move from freaking Japan and have a more aggressive strategy squeeze him out. Meanwhile his sister came over to Northern Michigan then hits the portal and wins a title at McKendree. Hope he lands somewhere that he can be what he needs...

Any chance Doucet could get a medical? Every wrestler has some sort of injury, he only wrestled 3 post seasons. And last year he only wrestled one match after November, and it may have been before 2nd semester started even though it was in January because Wyatt didn't want to wrestle Air Force.

Are roster limits a thing? Not sure it means anything in Stillwater, but Dreshaun has an older brother Damarion that is in the portal at 184.

Looking over the fence, OU had 6 guys jump in, seems to be a trend in overall lack of development. They had 2 guys last year that ended up at OCU and finished as NAIA runners up.

If he ends up there he would complete the 4 way trade: Thompson to NC State Fishback to Ohio State Welsh to Psu And Ryder to OSU

    David Taylor Appreciation Post

5 guys get their hands raised on Saturday night in 2 years. Not counting repeaters the last 5 for OSU were AJ (21) Dean (16, 17) Alex (14, 15, 16) Perry (13, 14) and JO (11, 13). Now 3 of those years there were multiple champs. When you write it down and look at it it’s kind of startling the...

OSU had 1/5 of their bonus earned through medical forfeits...

What Did You Expect? - NCAA Team Performance Relative to Expectations

Parity is good for the sport but obviously lacking, although the big 12 tries to make a push the numbers are scewed by OSU. The big 10 had 23% of the field but finished with 50% of the all Americans. And only 3 conferences were represented with champions. 20 all Americans from the big 12 is...

What Did You Expect? - NCAA Team Performance Relative to Expectations

In the classic version of track wrestling you can still see tournament statistics such as most pins least amount of time, seed to place differential, and other criteria. You can sort these by team or individual. I spend a lot of time there after tournaments.

    Wrestleknownothing

I wouldn’t put too much stock in that list, all the dude did was compile previously high ranked wrestlers that couldn’t make the lineup/injured/had a bad tournament and kids that had a good tournament from a smaller program.

2026 NCAA Wrestling Championship Official Thread

If you think of bonus points as extra wrestlers then OSU had an extra champ with their 20.5, but PSU had 2 extra champs with 7 of their dudes scoring in the 20’s. Seeds help and PJ going to the backside gave him an extra match. While both teams had 4 pins, PSU recorded 17 tech falls to OSU’s 3.
