    It looks like Murphy over Robbinsville settled it last night. Congratulations to the Bulldogs and good luck in the 2A playoffs. Andrews upset over Cherokee last night is also interesting because now RPI looks like the top 2 seeds in 1A west for boys will both be SMC.

    I would still take Cherokee but if Queens Grant can beat 11-5 8A Myers Park and NCGBBA(MaxPreps #14 in NC all classes) and go to OT with Concord Academy (#19 in the state all classes) I think it would be at least halfway decent game with Cherokee.

    Cherokee looks like the best public school team in the state, any class, after winning that stacked holiday tournament at Harrah’s. In 1A, Thomas Jefferson is having a very good year and there are going to be 4 or 5 SMC teams (from both Big and Little) who will be tough in that bracket.

    Cherokee 3 peats. I would look for closest games to be Bishop and maybe Queens Grant. They just beat Myers Park and played Providence Day close, but it's hard to tell much because the rest of their schedule is pretty bad.
