    Good Game Bulldogs!

From the few glimpses I saw on TV, it looked like the NU turnout was around 10k. If so, it's actually a decent showing. Our average attendance during the season was about 35k. Our undergraduate enrollment is less than 10K. We actually have a smaller alumni population than all of the other B1G...

    Good Game Bulldogs!

You were down 13-0 and came back to tie it. You answered a 14-point deficit with a long td drive. The effort was solid. The execution was passable. But the mistakes killed your chances.

    Good Game Bulldogs!

Wildcat fan here. Congrats on a clean and well-fought game. You saw a pretty good synopsis of the Wildcats today: consistent effort, few penalties/bonehead plays, and nothing flashy. This has been the recipe for the Cats' 10-win season. Consistency will get you pretty good results in college...

Capital One Bowl is TOLD by the conferences who they will choose

Ditto. A lot of Northwestern fans claimed the B1G commissioner Delaney betrayed the Wildcats by insisting that Nebraska go to Cap One, which apparently preferred NU. But considering that Nebraska had a better season (10 wins vs. 9) and beat NU, they did not deserve to fall and be punished for...

    NU Highlights

Don't be offended. It's not his intent. I know the poster well from our regular site. It is not his style to insult people. He helps run the web site that produces the videos (it really is password protected).

    NU Highlights

That was pretty exciting, though I had seen it before. But seeing all those 14 yard gains got me all fired up for the Gator Bowl. In fact, I haven't been this excited since Pat Benetar single-handedly defeated 38 Nazi stooges in her hit music video "Shadows of the Night." That was awesome to...

Greetings from a Northwestern Fan + Scouting Report

Nice of you to stop by Lee. You probably already know this, but Herbstreit spikes your geritol-ade with viagara every College Gameday. And yes, Chicago's south and west sides appear to be shooting galleries most of the time. Our gangs are better armed than the police at times.

    Matchup concerns with NW

Ha ha. You guys are almost as cynical as some of our fans in talking about our coaches, especially the guy who coaches our secondary. I sometimes wonder if he has gotten death threats from some of our crazier fans.

    Matchup concerns with NW

Glad to see our reputation precedes us. It could be worse. The key to the NU offense is QB Kain Colter running the read option. He is the main reason why our run game has thrived. His primary TB option, Venric Mark, is very fast and surprisingly effective between the tackles for a little guy...

Yup. Because it's not a school for pretty people. I am living proof.

NU fandom is pretty grounded, and should be. The program's history is full of ups and downs. Thankfully the arrow is pointed up, and fans appreciate the good times we have had lately. I think your game summary is about right. I love the unpredictability of the college game.

Love the avatar, Cadaver. Clint is a hero to me. Not sure how I penetrated the technology defenses, us Northwestern people are allegedly real smart on paper. But I will attribute it to dumb luck. I'd much rather be lucky than smart.
