Yes. I don’t know why Iowa is apparently neglecting pursuit of foreign talent. It’s sort of puzzling because Iowa WBB has status. Ask top foreign prospects to name their favorite player and I’d bet Caitlin Clark is mentioned most often. There is some recruiting capital being wasted IMO.
I don’t have a transfer possibily calculation for Mallegni. Everything I’ve read about her future plans so far is almost entirely conjecture. That’s why I was curious about your assignment of a 65% transfer probability.
From the article;
“Jensen led the Hawkeyes to a 2-seed in the NCAA Tournament and became the fastest coach in program history to record 50 wins in just two seasons”
Nice recognition for Jensen. Stuelke will be sorely missed. Heiden is a force.
It was a massive jump from Wasilla high school, Alaska, to major college bb. The potential is there IMO. As Skydog stated, she is in the right place to improve. I think we see a big jump by mid-season next year.
North Dakota might have turned the corner a bit under new coach Eric Schmidt. They had NDSU on the ropes last year before losing by 5 on a late NDSU td. The Fighting Hawks should have a pretty decent squad next season.
I’ll be watching the transfer portal for an experienced C/PF and a skilled PG.
McCollum’s system and track record practically guarantees, at the bare minimum, a top 1/2 expectation across the board - B10 finish & NCAAT seeding.
IMO it is not unreasonable to hold regular top 1/3...
