    We were in Natchez

Natchez is a huge LSU town. I grew up about 10 miles south of town. We could be to Tiger Stadium in an hour and 15 minutes. Took 4.5 hours to get to Oxford. Oxford is closer to Cairo, Illinois than it is to Natchez. Natchez is also more culturally like most of Louisiana than it is like most...

Favorite MS city / town / county names?

Anna's Bottom. Area in rural Adams County north of Natchez used primarily for farming. Not a unique pronunciation, but an amusing name. From a pronunciation - Benoit, north of Greenville. My wife has family from there. They say it like "Ba-know-it." In SW MS, it would be pronounced "Ben-wah."

    Say Something Nice About Troy

As possibly the only Troy alum lurker How in the hell does someone on here know who Brock Nutter is? I grew up in Natchez as an Ole Miss fan, but went to Troy from 98-02. Nutter was QB for Troy State in '01 when the mighty Trojans endured a tornado and beat MS 21-9. That was a good team...
