I like the 3 point TD but I have seen no evidence that has created more action except that there are more major decisions and Tech Falls because they are easier to achieve when catch and release nets you 2 points instead of just 1 point.
Looking at just this year does not make any sense and I bet the coaches would agree. Red shirting Blaze and Duke for the 2026-27 season makes sense because we do not need their points and have others that will score almost as many points and it also means they will still be around for 2029-2030...

When you see fans posting that the BIG gets to many allocations to NCAAs give them the facts. This season the BIG got less than 33% of the NCAA spots but had 41 out of 80 AAs so better than 50%. Happens pretty much every year.
That is pretty much it. Remember the awards are given out right after the finals end so the coaches don't want to have a meeting right then to vote on awards with the TV cameras waiting. Stupid I know, but it is what it is.
