Do Nebraska fans owe Scott Frost an apology?

Criticism-Nebraska was a top 30 S&P+ program in 2021 and he’s now hired an elite play caller. It’s amazing how Husker fans don’t realize how good of a job he’s doing.

Bill Connelly rates Nebraska as best 3-9 team of all time (will likely finish top 25 in S&P+)

we Wins and losses in college football are no different than wins and losses for a pitcher in baseball. Completely meaningless. Frost deserves an A for the improvement this season and probably an extension.

Not at all. It means this was a top 25 team by the numbers. Get this through your head-wins and losses don’t matter.

    Rutgers v Maryland

So dumb. Those teams are in the 70s/80s in S&P+. Nebraska is 30. Frost has turned it around in Lincoln. Some fans just don’t understand football analytics.

no, it means the algorithms perceived Nebraska to be a top 25 team this year. It’s something to be proud of. Wins and losses don’t mean what they used to. There are better ways to rank teams. In fact I’d reckon Nebraska’s S&P+ ranking will INCREASE after yesterday. That means yesterday can be...

Nebraska had a great season ignore the win and loss column

Football is not black and white. There are shades of grey. Nebraska was a borderline top 25 team despite a 3-9 record. In 2021 S&P+ is a better indicator of performance than win loss record.

Nebraska had a great season ignore the win and loss column

Wins and Losses are an antiquated way to measure a season/quality of team. S&P+ is the way I keep score. In fact I reckon that Nebraska’s S&P+ ranking will improve after today.

Nebraska had a great season ignore the win and loss column

What would 3 more wins really mean? At the end of ten day if 10-2 Iowa played 3-9 Nebraska tomorrow on a neutral site it would probably be a pickem. Wins and Losses don’t matter in college football. It’s about brand and prestige. Scott Frost has not done anything to hurt the Nebraska brand...

Certainly am. I am a Northwestern season ticket holder and respect the hell out of Nebraska. You guys are the only fan base that I find tolerable in the Big Ten. In the NFL wins and losses matter a ton. In college there are far better ways to measure performance.

Rumor: Ohio St leaving the Big Ten in 2024?

Why do Huskers fans even care? The program is strong and profitable even if they lose games.
