Football: looks like we lost a "committment" to Floriduh

As I find myself now raising two boys in the college recruiting age range, I’m shocked - and maybe even a little embarrassed - at how much faith I used to put into these commitments. That’s not a knock on you or anyone else. It’s just as if I’ve been given a peek behind the curtain and can now...

Lady Gamecocks looking like total trash

I swear some of you need a 30 minute delay on posts.

Why greater parity historically in MBB than WBB?

I don’t think it’s much more than a smaller pool of talent to choose from. And I mean no disrespect. Just saying that fewer women playing basketball (specifically AAU, club, etc.) than men = fewer top tier players (naturally) = more consolidation of talent among the top teams.

RAT TANNER IS DEAD TO ME!

If someone were to tell me that Tanner’s tenure as AD was a premeditated years-long scheme funded by Clemson donors to completely subvert our men’s athletic programs, I probably wouldn’t call them crazy.

Josiah Thompson done for the season

Per ESPN. Lower body injury. This program really is snake bit.

OT: Younger people and colon cancer

This is one way. But I would caution that it’s less accurate than a screening colonoscopy. The full procedure is so simple and the inconvenience of the prep is minor.

OT: Younger people and colon cancer

47 here, just got my first screening Monday after (foolishly) putting it off for a couple of years. OP is right: just get it done. The procedure is a breeze.

    The NFL should be ashamed!

This is the answer. Too many people try to thread politics into it, but at the end of the day, the NFL is going to do whatever they deem to have the potential for the biggest payout: immediate and/or future. I guarantee you none of the NFL execs give a hoot about Bad Bunny. What they see is...

Did Dabo tug on the loose string?

This is the correct take. What Dabo is really mad about is that the previous system, the one his program was set up to exploit, is no longer in existence.

Dabo did it!!!! Inject this into my veins!

I don’t disagree. I’m just glad it’s Dabo and not Beamer taking that swing.

Dabo did it!!!! Inject this into my veins!

I doubt it. Look, I hate the current system, but there are better ways to attempt to effect change. I’m actually on Dabo’s side with this one. Unfortunately, I think the way he’s gone about things is going to ostracize him/his program. I don’t think any football players in the market for a new...

Dabo did it!!!! Inject this into my veins!

These accusations are being made for the period after Lane left.

    Rooting for Dabo

But coaches can only make those salaries if there’s a market for it. I’m good at my job. If someone wants to pitch me to come work for them in the same role making double what I do now, I would be a fool to turn that down. So the blame is really on us, the fans, for creating an environment where...

    Visit from #1 JUCO QB

He also didn’t come in as a starter. That happened later in the season.
