Knox doesn’t need too. If Luke Lilledahl beats Spencer Lee then the U23 spot is Knox if he chooses to take it . If Lee wins LL can wrestle off Knox for the spot
Gibson took 5th at zingo nationals , beat one person with a winning record , has 0 wins over NQs and his 2nd best win was over Joe Fongaro who couldn’t crack the line up at App State in a down year for them
lol Room guy. He’s going to be the starting 141. He wrestled up last year bc of Composto and they had a very close wrestleoff. He is no world beater but he’ll be a NQ and should surprise a guy or 2
by finishing 3rd Knox can be our u23 rep at 57 kg uncontested which is great for Knox and Rutgers. U23s are in October in Vegas so it shouldn’t affect his folk season much either
Mediocre? The kid is a 3x placer in NJ and will be #2 or #3 to start the year and in the mix for a title. All that while wrestling 3-4 months out of the year and focusing on 2 other sports.
this take is mediocre
I think the excitement comes from the fact he’s a 3 sport athlete and doesn’t wrestle all year round and still in the mix to win a state title next season so the jumps he can make in college going from a 4 month a year wrestler to a full time wrestler is a lot bigger then the jumps the kid who...
if he really was the main reason behind Marc Anthony McGowan improvement then I’d say his stock is rising pretty fast plus he is a 4x AA and National Champ. Kids coming up now know who he is. CBA has also jumped a level now so hopefully he can lock us into that pipeline.
Good chance he ends up at Penn State West ( Utah Valley) .. he’s from Utah and Cael have Hall seem to have a working relationship getting guys over there
McKenna tore up his knee 10 seconds in , u can watch him say it to the coaches right when the ref stops the match .. that being said Bassett looked great this weekend
