    Happy Bobby Bonilla Day

I just remember the Wilpons lost a lot of money and had plenty of obligations. It’s probably a reason why they sold the team.

    Happy Bobby Bonilla Day

I’m not entirely positive, and feel free to correct me, oh omnipotent board, but the Mets felt that way because they were heavily invested with Bernie Madoff. His returns were too good to be true and, if I’m recalling events correctly, that’s why it’s a great deal for him and a bad deal for Mets...

Has anyone heard this will Jack Ham's last season?

I’d be shocked if Brian Tripp isn’t on the short list to replace Jones. He’s very good at hockey for PSU, and also does well reporting from the football sidelines. It’s going to be difficult to impossible to fill Jack Ham’s shoes, but Blackledge or Robinson are two names to strongly consider. JMHO.

    AKB: Restaurant recommendations for Honolulu/Oahu…

It’s been a while, Midnighter, but if any of the Roy’s fine dining establishments still exist that’s where I’d go. Phenomenal meal, service, etc.

OT: Your favorite retro pinball or video arcade games?

That would be it, Tom! Spent many a quarter trying to solve it. Made it to the final attack several times but never “won.”

OT: Your favorite retro pinball or video arcade games?

I appreciate the effort, Tom, but I was referring to the video game. I found one once in a video game arcade in Somerville, NJ, back in the aughts and played it one more time.

Well, I suppose props to B1G for an “early” schedule release. At least we know which weekends are in play without actually knowing what days games will be. Only one B1G series appears to have dates locked in: final weekend. Hopefully see a nice crowd or sellout vs Q the Friday night before...

    RIP-Anne Shedeen -Mom from Alf

Considering her IMDB page lists no recurring role or appearance on Three’s Company, I’m curious as to your claim. EDIT: I checked twice before I posted, and now I see five episodes on Three’s Company. But not a recurring role but rather as three different characters. My apologies.

Bless the Huns and their lack of coverage. My Kraut Mick friend, a horse-racing enthusiast, heartily approves.

    Heroism personified

Pointe du Hoc, with the grappling hook memorial to the Rangers given the difficult task; one photo showing the height and some leftover barbed wire; one photo showing the view west. Simply unbelievable heroism, and the site is still pockmarked with bomb and naval craters of immense size. I have...

The Dick Winters leadership memorial in Normandy (same statue as the one in Ephrata), and the Brecourt Manor entryway has a memorial to the men of Easy company as well as an etching of the map Lt. Winters recovered during the fight.
