What do you think as regards SHU?

    - We have to spend mucho $ for a competitive basketball team so the school can remain relevant yet the students don't support the team. Seems like a great case study for the school of sports management.

    Corey Lowery to Texas Southern

Agreed. I don't know Coach Lowery's financial situation but why in the world would he want to take this job. The funny thing is all of those players holding picket signs to get their coach back would transfer in a heartbeat on him if they got a better offer.

Tommy John pens goodbye to Yankees for Old-Timers’ Day during health fight

As a Yankee fan I’d take Munson over Mattingly. WS championships matter.

    What is this kid thinking?

Have to think this isn’t the first time something like this has happened with this kid. He obviously needs help & shouldn’t be anywhere near a competitive soccer field.

Congrats to SHU grad Clayton Collier

Good piece. Maybe Hal can send the Yankees to Omaha for a quick lesson.

    Pirates Release 2026-27 Non-Conference Schedule

Pretty wild. Not one player from the Tri State area.

Meadowlands Race Track loses Gem Harness Event

Can't say I'm surprised. Attendance is probably half of what it was back in the 80's & 90's when I used to go every year. Evidently NJ had an opportunity to renew last year as the exclusive host but chose not to. Either incompetency or they didn't want it any more. My bet is on the former.

    Corey Lowery to Texas Southern

Staff definitely still matters; especially if they have a wide network of contacts domestically & internationally. It always baffles me why our entire staff are all tied to the NY metro area yet our rosters these days feature very few players from the area.

    Good stuff from Jaden Daly

Having two decent defenders in the paint really helped us last year along with our first legit PG in years. I don’t see that happening with the current roster but hopefully we add someone that can help. We do seem to have better shooters however.

Fourth team for 2026 Baha Mar Hoops Bahamas Championship

Putting your team, staff & support staff up for 2 weeks in the Bahamas can't be cheap. Thank goodness for tax dollars.

    Chris Nwuli

If the school did say he was missing the year due to personal reasons do we honestly think the speculation would be any different. Sometimes we just have to respect privacy. I know it’s hard but it’s really the right thing to do. Hopefully he’s still enrolled as a student so he can take...

Adam Silver stepped in to clean up WNBA’s Caitlin Clark mess with Cathy Engelbert under fire

I never really cared about or watched women's hoops until I saw CC play in college. She's an entertainer. Watching her play is enjoyable, unlike the rest of the WNBA. Clark is a phenomena. Sort of like Bird, Magic & Pistol Pete all combined into one player. I still don't care about women's...
