Would You Support A High Profile Game on a Weekday Night?

Theres conferences that already play on Thursday's.

Which they were aware of ahead of time. Nice try though...has nothing to do with CPS.

Already canceled some JV games. These are now homecoming and senior night games being threatened because they cant figure out a way to follow thru on their obligation. And please dont come into this thread as an excuse to get off your anti-CPS, anti-chicago rants and barely vague dog whistles.

Fairly typical reaction from a kid. Im sure my CPL son would love a shot at Mt. Carmel or Brother Rice in the playoffs. Doesnt make it right that he should have to face them(and get slaughtered) and as an adult, his opinion on it may change, especially when he has a child. I hooped at a school...

I just think there needs to be a level playing field. Makes zero sense to have schools playing by different rules. I'd be even more frustrated by it if I wasnt a parent of a CPL football player. At least we have the city championships and prep bowl to gun for(which some downstate schools balk at...

Most coaches arent allowed to "get talent". They have to coach whoever is walking the halls. I honestly have no clue how good of a coach Lynch is. Record says he's at least pretty good. I will say that there's likely coaches in other conferences working magic just to get their teams to 5 wins...

Funny how the best coaches tend to have the best talent.

For the selective enrollment schools...you have to test very high. Period. That eliminates 95% of students. Kenwood MIGHT have more wiggle room than Young or Lane, but way less than Simeon and MP. Other schools...theres probably more flexibility to get you in. Which is probably why Simeon is...

They had players using fake addresses that actually lived in the suburbs. Kenwood is a neighborhood school with a large magnet/honors component so you either have to live in the very tiny Kenwood neighborhood or test very well. Kenwood also has an issue with kids faking addresses to get into the...

I dont understand the debate. I want to type a long diatribe but Ill keep it short. 2 schools around the corner from each other: Mt. Carmel and Hyde Park HS. MC can legally bring in kids from Merrillville(IN), Monee, Bolingbrook, Maywood, Park Ridge and Skokie while Hyde Park gets kids from a 8...
