    To word it differently, only one of the top four Big XII team losses was to a team not among them (Texas). WVU has no control of other team's overall records.     Miami was also beating Florida State and Florida during those years. Those were pretty stout teams.

    Baylor and TCU have something WVU does not have - lot's of home state high school talent. That is why they can turn it around faster than WVU.

    Do you not remember very good WVU teams getting beaten worse than that by Miami and Penn State in the 80's? You know, the same decade that had an 11-0 1988 team.

    1-8 against 8-5 teams since the start of 2012 is unacceptable. We should at least split them if we want to at least be an 8 win team instead of no more than 7 wins.

    The issue is that we are 1-8 against 8-5 teams since the start of the 2012 season. That is the bigger problem than losing to the number 2 team on the road.
