    Hartsville's Dariyan Pendergrass who transferred from the Gamecocks to Spartanburg Methodist his freshman season to avoid being redshirted is transferring to the University of Texas for his senior season. Either he was a late bloomer or the Gamecock coaches just missed on his abilities.

    At least he fielded a ground ball, unlike the guy he replaced. We probably have a couple of pitchers in the bullpen who can play 3rd base better than anyone we've put at the position this season.
