    Isn’t the entire premise of this thread that Flood shouldn’t have been fired? Flood record is artificially high because he never had to coach a team made entirely of his recruits.

    Just because Ash was even worse, doesn’t mean Flood shouldn’t have been fired. Schiano left Flood with a fully stocked cupboard and he manage to wreck it very quickly. If he had been allowed to stick around to coach a team of all his own recruits he wouldn’t have done any better than Ash.

    Such a short time? The demise of the football program started the moment Schiano left the week before National Signing Day and Mario Cristobal turned down the job. Flood’s first year was just the residue of Schiano’s recruits keeping the team afloat.

    He might be the best QB coach in the world, but how could he possibly devote the time necessary to the QBs AND be the OC. I don’t understand why we have separate outside LB and inside LB coaches, but the QBs don’t have a dedicated position coach.

    Jared Goff also sucked his first year in the NFL so I guess there is hope. The coaching staff has done Sitkowski a real disservice this year. It seems like he has plus tools but lacks the experience to read defenses. By forcing him into the game when he is clearly not ready has poisoned the well...

    What has Canpanile done exactly? The only one I would without hesitation bring back is Okruch. As far as Parker I’ve heard lots of good things but after three years both sides of the line keep getting manhandled.
