    The one benefit from playing a bowl game under the "old" system was finally receiving gifts that were not against the rules from the NCAA. Now these players have their NIL gift and don't care about the free PlayStation 5 or the rolex gift bag players used to get to play in the Gator Bowl, etc.

    This is the correct answer. Biggest loaner of $ to NFL Teams? The NFL! The NFL knows how much $ each team brings in yearly, adds a small interest percentage, makes it free $ for them. They know eventually they will get their $ back plus interest!
