Is Nebraska still a Blue Blood program?

I’m glad you included Penn St because I dont know why certain publications fail to include them as a blueblood. They certainly meet every metric. Whether it be wins, top 10 finishes, top 5 finishes, NC’s, NC games played in, Major bowl wins, Major Bowls played in, All Americans produced, NFL...

    FB Blueblood poll

Why is the line drawn between Michigan and Penn St? Penn St is 8th in all time wins, 5th since 1950 (the beginning of modern day football), 5th all time producing NFL players. Is generally recognized by media in promotions as a blue blood. So I guess Michigan is a blue blood because of all...

    Congrats Husker Fans

LSU, Florida, Miami, Florida St? Those teams didnt start winning until the '80's and 90's so why would they even be considered? Go look at the schools that have the most wins since 1950 (the very beginning of what is considered modern day football). Go look at the teams that have the best bowl...

    Congrats Husker Fans

What exactly is the metic for being a blueblood? MIchigan, they have exactly one half of one NC in over 60 years (since 1950-the first year wearing real helmuts) and they're considered a blueblood? The whole discussion is warped. I guess all those wins against the Univ of Chicago really count.;)

    Congrats Husker Fans

Just read the article. Since when does "ESPN staff" whoever that is get to decide who's a blueblood? Looks like it was written by a middle school student. Ha ha, what a joke!

    Dorian Hardy to Penn State.

Penn State doesnt need to recruit heavily in NJ to be successful, they pick and choose who they want to take. The school may concentrate more in MD one year, and perhaps NJ another year. Just depends where the "elite" talent resides. It had a Top 15 class last year without the need to sign...

Why are we so overwhelmed physically in the Big Ten?

And Penn State was preseason No. 1 ranked team in the Country in 1999, stayed No. 1 until a late season collapse. It wasnt until the 2000's when PSU began to struggle because Joe stopped recruiting. And even then the team finished Top Ten 3 times in his last 10 full years of coachng. Not bad!

Penn State should've been in playoffs

Penn State was missing five starters from its defense including all three starting LBs. Penn State then lost two walk on LBs early in the game, and as a result couldnt even field a proper defense hence the final score. Extenuating circumstances for sure.

    I'm heartbroken for PSU

Barkley absolutely has no regrets, he said attending Penn State was the best decision he made in his life. He's one of the team leaders, and knows every Olineman on the team would break thru walls for him. You probably arent aware, Penn State was down to their 5th and 6th starting Tackles and...

OSU option + power running game on full display right now

Barrett before he got hurt during their NC run was a very dynamic runner, doesnt look as fast or elusive now. We'll probably never know, but I bet his forty time isnt the same. He certainly looks like he's lost a step. The OSU Oline of '14 and '15 was truly "elite". There's no doubt in my mind...

why were the two hottest teams left out of CFP?

When Penn State played Michigan it couldnt even field a proper defense. FIve starters out including a CB and DE, and all three LBs (I'm going by memory), and on top of that two of our walk-on, backup LBs were knocked out of the game, also. Not an excuse, just a fact. We play Michigan now we...
