    My prediction is . . . the winner of this game will be a finalist. No disrespect for the other teams in the upper bracket, but I think the winner of this game will just be too hot to handle. I feel the same for the winner of L'ville/LWE.

    Lenti's interest in going 9-0 is only one tiny notch above "don't give a crap." I'll add that he does not particularly like seeing MC's frosh and soph teams going undefeated; he prefers "lessons learned" prior to varsity.

    Caravan 21 - 14 over Marist

    MC has much to work on, IMHO: three turnovers (plus a recovered fumble); penalties; kick-off returned for TD. Defense was solid, allowing only one score, but Marist advanced the ball well after the first quarter with short pass offense and scrambling QB. Good training for the Loyola game...

    For MC I'm hoping for a more balanced attack with Thompson often hooking up with Wirtel. Don't know who else MC will have as receivers this year, but Wirtel was a force last year. An effective passing offense will make that loaded backfield more effective. #airlenti
