    Fall Practice

I assume he is implying that Jan did not fill out the full 15 roster size allowed with only 11. Another effect of the NIL era. I think we will be fine with the above nine plus Stromdahl and Medina. How many teams can go that deep.

    2027 Recruiting

Minnesota finally has a good coach that will be hard to recruit against. Lisa Bluder took advantage of the situation for years. They finally dumped state idol Lindsay Whalen who wasn’t cut out to be a head coach. Before that it was Pam Borton and Marlene Stollings, who Lisa also had success...

    Expectations?

I thought she already signed a contract as a pro so couldn’t.

    WBB Non-Conference Schedule Addition

Obviously Jan isn't buying into the common notion that 2027-28 will be the year we will shine.

Lose how? Just curious if you can say. Transfer somewhere that would use her differently?

And Kelly Krei for another one. Not your prototypical PF though 6-2 but hard-nosed and athletic.

One appealing thing about Jan is how open and transparent she is about her thinking. She doesn't hide behind coach-speak like most others.

I agree. Just seems like a poor tradeoff to play for a lame duck, disliked coach with probably a less talented set of teammates than she had at Western Illinois.

That school's other portal transfers so far have been weak, so why would she want to step into that hot mess.

I remember Lisa having to bring on an Iowa softball player because the team was so short on guards following some injuries. Can't remember her name though.

    Addie Deal enters transfer portal

Some source I don't know anything about called KWF Sports & Media posted on X a couple of days ago that Teagan and Addie were both transferring to Wisconsin. I have not seen any confirmation anywhere else and have no idea how reputable that source is. It made total sense for Teagan but none...

    Greenway???

I would assume that was a poor attempt at humor that doesn't come through well on a message board.

    Dani Carnegie commits to iowa!

Same here. Carnegie was 0-7 on 3-pointers. So just a bad day.

    Angel Reese traded

Talia Goodman breaks the news about Virginia WBB coach

Very weird that both coaches in the First Round game in Iowa City between Georgia and Virginia are now out of a job.
