    LSU vs WVU

I'm still damn proud of this team. The expectations was not very high and they ended up having another historic year, and one that will definitely build upon for the future.

This WVU offense is good enough to compete against anyone. Hopefully the portal is full pf arms that can throw quality strikes.

When the only pitch you can remotely come close to the zone with is a 92 mph fastball, today's college (and high school) hitters are going to tee off on it. And now we can't catch a popup. Down 6-0

    And that'll do it.........bases clearing double......down 4-0...... F**KING THROW STRIKES! EDIT: 5-0 now.....another hit.

Kartsonis just not going to get it done. Got two quick outs in the 2nd, walked next two guys, and now is 2-0 to the next hitter. Already up to 51 pitches. EDIT: ANOTHER walk.....bases loaded

LSU pitcher isn't throwing strikes either......but we are swinging at them anyways.......3 hitters, 3 K's, 3 balls in the dirt.

I don't think we have a pitcher that can get their hitters out consistently. Kartsonis with 27 pitches in the 1st inning. That's not looking good for him lasting more than 4 innings.

WVSPORTS.COM Sabins explains pitching decisions after game one loss to LSU

Since going to the super regionals (2003), the team that wins the first game has won the series 80% of the time. However, this year may be different. So far FSU, Miami, and Arizona won game #2 in their series after dropping game #1. Then you have WVU, UTSA, Tennessee, and Murray State going for...

WVSPORTS.COM Sabins explains pitching decisions after game one loss to LSU

I don't disagree. What I was saying was that perhaps coach thought that the offense wasn't going to score much against LSU top guy who has been dominate this year, and wasn't willing to lose his best bullpen arms for game #2 in a game that he thought was about to get out of hand. But what...

WVSPORTS.COM Sabins explains pitching decisions after game one loss to LSU

Kirn didn't have it today. And he was out of gas. Coach Sabins was definitely making these pitching decisions based upon the game tomorrow. Didn't want to burn or waste someone today and not have them available tomorrow. But after seeing how our offensive scored 9 runs, hindsight is always...
