    I'm old enough to remember when Park View was playing for titles at the AA level. How times have changed. Nearly 5 hour trip from Bland to Sterling. Might make the drive over to watch that if Bland doesn't fold before the scheduled game.

    You definitely don't hear much about the schools on the eastern side of Fairfax County, when it comes to football at least. I've always heard that SSSA and Episcopal raid those schools for all of their talent for sports like football and lacrosse. No clue if that is true or not. I'm still irked...

    That Amherst/Louisa game was a good one. I was there for the Rockbridge game but figured I'd stay around. I have to admit, I still don't understand the call on that late onside kick by Louisa where the Amherst guy called a fair catch and then fumbled it and the whistle blew anyway... then again...

    Between a lack of decent food and waiting for what seems like an eternity between games, I burned out on state title games many years ago... But from what I'm understanding now, they clear out the stadium between games. Am I reading that right??
