    Not sure about the TJ Otz hype train as far as in-game coaching. But his team is fast, physical, tough, athletic, play extremely hard and have defenders at the post. Clones lost their point guard to injury before season. Lipsey (sp?) adequate for a frosh. Just missing a little offense but...

    Well, I guess Frank told us. Mediocrity it is! Just be happy with what we have! Fans are not good fans because they want a little more! How dare we question a program/coach that after 13 years, can't take that next step. Just by dumb luck Iowa should be able to string together back to back...

    Ghost town here. Hate this is where we're at as a program. Maybe we luck out like Iowa State did several years ago with McDermott. Things weren't going so well up there, McDermott takes the Creighton job and ISU is bailed out from firing him... at least that's the way I remember it. Maybe...

    I don't have any problem with Fran and T's....if it were me, I'm sure I'd get T'd up as well. The officiating is not good. Tex with good points about Fran not being appealing for other jobs.

    No one disputes that he cares or if he is a good person or stands for his players. Fans expect a little more results on the court. And if you think Iowa is currently a top 20-30 program, please stop posting or walk back that statement.

    Let me first say that I do like Fran. I like his passion, energy and his commitment to his players. However, his lack of attention to detail on the defensive end of the floor has caused his team dozens of wins over his tenure at Iowa. Time and time again we see the same lackluster defense...

    1983 Gator Bowl...

    I don't think Florida had "arrived" nationally as a powerhouse at that point. Charlie Pell was their HC at the time. I believe they got hit with probation and that cost Charlie his job. Could be wrong on that.
