Nova beats Denver, Michigan beats Hopkins

There is no way JHU is missing the tournament. Not a chance. Maryland ... yes. Their at-large is far from assured.

Maybe the 1999 Cincy model is the way to go.

UC would not have won it all. UC lost a mid-February regular season home game against Temple in the 1999-00 season, a game that exposed their flaws. Even w/ Kenyon they weren't mentally tough against teams that played hard-nosed D and got them into a rock-fight that forced them to grind...

    Hey, Reds fans….

YES IT IS! Lot's of fun. Cincinnati Reds fan here who just happened to be looking at another team's board ---- this was a nice thread to see! Go Reds, let's take 3 of 4 from the slumping Padres (who were just swept by the Rockies, of all God awful baseball teams) this weekend.

    Warren addresses Nebraska

Good luck Huskers. It's been a nice 9 years having you in the conference, but to be blunt: you'll be better off in the long run without the B1G. I mean that as a compliment. I hope you guys go and play some football in 2020.

OT: Rutgers undergrads represent 49 of 50 states

One of the 1st people I met as a freshman at Penn State was a fellow frosh from Rawlins, Wyoming. He was, for 2 of his 4 years there, literally the only Wyoming-native undergrad at the school. Wyoming's a beautiful place, but it's quite a long way from the northeast.

    Barkley's comments about RU

I think he was trolling Carlin as opposed to trolling Rutgers. But who knows. PSU and Rutgers degrees are not materially different from one another. Throwing Maryland into his comments was kind of funny, though.

Backlash has reportedly killed Schiano's chances to land Tennessee job

Probably true ...... but that's a terrible look for the AD in itself. It takes 2 seconds of "research" to learn that Schiano once coached at PSU.

    OT: Britt McHenry

She's trying to get a full-time gig on Fox News (she currently appears there from time-to-time). Simple as that.

    Lehman > Matt Millen

Well... Chuck Long has only called 1 game this year. Leman at least gets a (3rd-tier on BTN, admittedly) game every week. Last year, Long had the 3rd-tier games and Leman was rather rarely seen.

    Lehman > Matt Millen

Lehman's good ..... at least BTN has seemed to move him above Chuck Long in the pecking order. Still too low. Millen ... ugh.

Penn St no show for anthem at Ryan Field

As I said --- I get it. ALL PSUers wear the scarlet letter. Fair enough.

Penn St no show for anthem at Ryan Field

You know the difference. You're not dumb: (1) OJ = actually indicted for a crime. (2) Any of the PSU players who didn't come out for the national anthem Saturday = none of them were indicted for a crime such as failure to report child abuse. But I get it. All PSUers get to wear the scarlet...

Penn St no show for anthem at Ryan Field

Many games that I've been too --- you don't see both teams on-field for the anthem. Teams have their routines (PSU under James Franklin comes out late - that's his particular routine) and it won't be changed based on when the home team band wants to play the anthem. The anthem does seem to...

The total eclipse of the sun

If it was to the northwest of the sun - that was Venus. Sirius (star) was southwest, saw that too. I'm driving from Denver to Cincinnati - Nebraska is a state I've always liked (aunt and uncle lived in North Platte for a time, now they're in San Diego). Obvious choice to see the eclipse from...

The total eclipse of the sun

I saw it from a park in Beatrice itself (Chautauqua Park, about a mile south of downtown). Pretty nice park for a town that size. The clouds were touch and go. It was cloudier up to the north, for sure. It didn't completely clear up, there were high clouds somewhat obscuring the sun when it...
