Some old wrestling videos I found on my google drive (2016-2018 type stuff)

Great stuff!!! Thanks for sharing these! Just watched the Cenzo v Imar match. Amazing first period showing amazing defensive wrestling, but with lots of action and both guys trying things. Really great wrestling. And then of course the exciting 3rd period fall. Nice memories.

Check this Google search out regarding our own Jeff Byers

Love Shane! He's fun to listen to and is good for college wrestling. We all know what a treasure we have in Byers. Not sure when Shane first appeared on B10 but I remember dual meets with Tim Johnson and Gibbons broadcast team and it was quite boring, but when either is paired with a more...

Why Social Media is enriching our lives, while it eats away at the fabric of our society.

An accomplished man, and great man! Committed to giving back to his university and society! You don't have to be from an Ivy league school or some other blue bood school to go on a space mission, and an important one at that. Link: Artemis II Astronaut was once a two-sport college athlete...

    J Rob. RIP

Great coach, sad to hear this. Much respect for him as a coach. He ran the 28-day intensive camp at Iowa when I attended way back in the late 70's. I came away from that with the feeling that as assistant coach he was responsible for much of Iowa's success around that time and that he ran much...

Brock is a class act! The only Husker I cheer for.

Transfer Portal 2026 + Other team movements

Thanks for the news. Sad to see this, as too much talent is being collected in the B10 and B12 (at least Ok State) programs. The portal and NIL sucks IMO! I don't blame the wrestlers, just the system.

Rolling Rock was a much better product back in the 80's, I thought it was a good lager beer, before they were bought out. But then again that might have been my college age taste sensibilities 😜

Tom Sturgis pretzels (and one of my favorites) are made in Berks County. That company is only 80 years old, and is an offshoot of and 5th generation continuation of the Julius Sturgis Pretzel Bakery (In Lititz, Lanc Co) that was founded in 1861 and is recognized as the oldest commercial pretzel...

Great map! I think they are locating the HQ/main production facilities of these places. But if that's not the case, they left off two big ones in Lancaster County. Y&S Candy (maker of Twizzler's and part of the Hershey Co in E Hempfield Twp.), and Mars + Dove (Elizabethtown Boro.) One to...

What was Cael referring to about "the rules"?

I was curious about the phrase Cael used "we can sleep when the wind blows". I never heard this before, and although I had a general sense of what he meant I looked this up. I found it mentioned many times, in a BYU speech and in this blog linked below. I like it both from a secular and...

Analyzing the weaknesses of Penn State 2025-2026 (long post)

My apologies, I didn't mean to cause a firestorm over my post indicating Jimmy was mostly spot on with his original post. Of course I agree that this was a GREAT season (and greatest so far), not just a good one, for PSU wrestling. However in a rather lengthy post much of what he wrote seemed...

Analyzing the weaknesses of Penn State 2025-2026 (long post)

I know Jimmy has done his fair share of trolling on other sites, but I didn't find his post here objectionable. I think much of it was on the mark. Not everything, but many good points. Is this a case of people reacting to the name rather than actually reading the content?

    All Americans Per Conference

While this would be interesting to see, has this stat been muddied a bit by wrestlers coming to PA for prep and private schools?
