First half of BE schedule was pretty good. Disappeared after January. Would have liked to have him back. Oh well.

As a roster spot. How many do we have? 6? All I am saying is that we have a lot of scholarships available and we're going to likely have a few players leave, and we shouldn't pass up on a good player because we might get a better one. As far as specific players, I'm not very high on Felton...

Before him, after him, I don't really care... yes, we need guys who can shoot. We're not really in a position to pass up a good player because we're waiting for something better though. If we fill our roster with guys that are 6-2 and can't shoot, I'll be disappointed but realistically I'd...

6th in the country in FTA this year and he hits at an 81%! Sign me up. Would be pretty crazy not to take him because 32.5% from 3 isn't good enough. We need shooters too, but he's not the only guy we would be adding.

Of course we should (and will) try but assume we offer him $2M and someone else offers offers $2.5 and we match. That other team isn't just going to sit back and let us keep him. They are likely going to raise their offer beyond what we can afford. Only way we keep him is if he wants to stay...

I think I'm past worrying. More of the acceptance phase now. Until we have some kind of regulation / salary caps, any star player that stays at SHU will be doing so for less pay than they would get elsewhere, and most players will leave. A few may stay here and there for specific reasons but I...

What does success look like in the 26-27 SHU season?

Sha has had a couple years now to understand the NIL landscape and what we need to do to get the players we want. He was unanimous BE COY and he needs to find a way to leverage that as a part of his pitch. We desperately need guys who can shoot. We finished 337th in 3PT%. If we were an average...

    Budgets

Interesting but hard to know the true costs to run a successful program without the NIL expenditures. Seeing the costs per win is certainly amusing for some of the schools though.

The biggest overachiver in the conference this year is

Gotta be Nova. Picked 7th and only lost one BE game outside of UConn and SJU. BE is down but that is still a hell of a year.

    Get outta here

A hard foul is fine when you don't want to give up two easy points and those points actually matter, but they were down 27. No need for an ejection from your coach though. The bench and some words after the game would have been sufficient.

    Big Opportunity

We kind of had that but he's in a bit of a funk right now. Probably need to let AJ come off the bench for a few games. Maybe fresh legs coming in will help him find his rhythm.

Just wild! Plenty of room for improvement but the defense has been elite. Hope they keep it going.

    New trading card pickup

Rare we get any cards with a SHU uniform so I have picked a couple of these up. https://www.ebay.com/b/2021-22-Panini-Prizm-Draft-Picks-Sandro-Mamukelashvili-SS-SMA/212/bn_7123145791

    Holloway: National COY?

If the season ended today, I'd give it to Shaheen. If UConn finishes 18-2 or better, they will be top 5 in the country at the end of the year. That's going to just be too dominant of a year to overcome in my opinion. If they ended up with a few losses and we end up being 2-3 games back of them...

    Holloway: National COY?

I think a leap from expectations is considered a fair amount. Mike Anderson won it in 21 after SJU was picked towards the bottom of the league but finished 4th. We didn't have a dominant team at the top though, so I think we need a few teams to beat UConn for anyone other than Hurley to really...
